If you’re looking for something fun and quirky to do this autumn – use your body as an instrument!
Your Body as an Instrument is a workshop based on a combination of body percussion, vocals and contemporary theatre techniques. If all that sounds a bit serious, don’t forget that the workshop will develop your mental and physical abilities, your breathing, concentration, musical skills and coordination – but it will do it through games and exercises.
One great aspect of Your Body as an Instrument is that it helps you focus on the present and enjoy the challenge in creative and safe environment.
The workshop is held by highly motivated and professional instructors: Ana Vrbaški (singer, theatre performer, composer) and Marko Dinjaški (drummer, percussionist, theatre performer), as well as members of the Otvoreni Krug Novi Sad NGO, better known to the public as Alice in WonderBand, the couple that performed in this year’s Serbian TV show, “I’ve got talent”.
Workshops held in Belgrade until the end of the year, at Zadužbina Ilije M. Kolarca, Studentski trg 5:
21 October, from 2pm to 7pm
18 November, from 2pm to 7pm
23 December, from 2pm to 7pm
For more information about workshop you can contact Ana Vrbaški at 062 150 43 91 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you do plan on going along, the organisers advise dressing in loose-fitting clothing, bringing a snack and some water as well as a notebook and pencil or smartphone, so you can record what you learned!
