Few restaurants in Belgrade’s bohemian quarter, Skadarlija, exude such an authentic atmosphere as Kapetan Koča putuje. From the outside the playfully colourful facade of this small restaurant was the first thing to catch our eye. The inside is just as entertaining and quirky but you’ll hardly have time to notice between listening to the live tambourine band and digging in to tasty local delicacies (at very reasonable prices!).
It should come as no surprise that the restaurant keeps the lively and eclectic spirit of bohemian Skadarlija alive as its run by a third-generation restaurateur who has had a rich career that takes in travels to South Africa and India as well as a stint as a professional pilot… All before settling in Skadarlija to run one of Belgrade’s most unique and inviting restaurants.
Don’t forget to try the Captain’s Cannonballs (trust us) washed down with a dark Nikšićko beer!
Mon-Sun from 10am to the end (you’ll have a hard time being the last guests to leave)
Live music starts in the evenings from 8pm
