Jugoslovenska Kinoteka

Muzej Jugoslovenske Kinoteke, main screen, BelgradeJugoslovenska Kinoteka (The Yugoslav Film Archive) is a one of Belgrade’s institutions of cultural significance and was established in 1949. It was originally the institution that stored archived films but has since expanded to become a film museum and cinema.

In terms of cinema screens, the Kinoteka, as it is popularly known, now occupies two buildings in central Belgrade. One at Kosovska 11 and one at Uzun Mirkova 1. The cinemas mostly show films from the archive, so this is often a great chance to go and see old movies at the cinema rather than watching them at home.

About Us:
We live in Belgrade and have always wanted to share what this wonderful city has to offer to its visitors and to those who live and work here. That was what inspired us to create the Living in Belgrade website and community back in 2010. Since then the site has grown and undergone many improvements and with it the community of followers who use social media to get in touch with us and with each other. In short, we want to build on the successes of Living in Belgrade and continue to be a good neighbour and host to people who come to Belgrade from abroad.
Our Community:
Living in Belgrade is an English language website, the focus of a broad English-speaking online community who live and work in Belgrade or visit frequently on business, for pleasure or to catch up on some shopping. Our aim is to help them get the most out of their Belgrade experience and to ensure Belgrade is a place they’ll remember fondly and to which they’ll return again and again.
