Chillout weekend around Belgrade
There are places in the nation that are sacred to
the Serbian identity, and one of these is tucked away in the Moravica district of central Serbia. This is the
Ovcar-Kablar gorge, home to some 300 monasteries, churches and shrines that have helped to protect and preserve
Serbian culture since the 14th century. Today ten monasteries remain in addition to a church and a sacred
cave. This concentration of monastic activity has led to the area being known as the Serbian Mount Athos
after the famous monasteries of Greece.....
There is so much to see and do while living in Belgrade, you might not
feel the urge to venture to far, but being a landlocked country, Serbia
