On Tuesday 13 June, one of Belgrade’s most prestigious international schools, British International School, celebrated its 20th anniversary.
The celebration took place at Belgrade’s City Hall building and was attended by His Excellency Mr. Denis Keefe CMG, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
According to a spokesperson from the British International School (BIS), “We are proud of the 20th generation of BIS graduates who will next year be joining universities in the UK, USA and Serbia.”
Belgrade International School is a Cambridge Examination Centre, regular member of the European Council of International Schools (ECIS), a regular member of the Council of International Schools (CIS), and affiliate member of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS).
BIS caters for children from 4 to 18 years of age offering the British National Curriculum starting with Reception and finishing with A levels. In the last two years of Secondary school, an accredited American curriculum is offered to our students as the alternative.
The goal of the highly qualified and enthusiastic teachers at British International School – many of whom are UK nationals, with UK teaching qualifications – is to instil a love for life-long learning in students regardless of their future careers and the walks of life they choose for themselves.
