"According to Kat"

WOW!! This is my 50th weekly discoveries article...pretty cool! It
doesn't feel like I've been doing it that long. Maybe I'll have to
do a special 50th anniversary edition soon.
1. Coffeedream now offers fresh-squeezed juices
You know, how I feel about Coffedream, right? I've mentioned a number
of times that it's my favorite cafe in terms of the variety of coffee
drinks they have. So it's kind of a crying shame to drink
fresh-squeezed juice there, but I'm also thankful for this option.
Because although I am a serious hedonist and I revel in delicious treats
and all of life's pleasures, I also like to feel and be healthy. So for
those times when I am strong enough to resist the Iced Cinnamon Latte, it
will be a carrot-orange-apple juice for me.
One order of life-giving enzymes coming right up ;-)
2. Barbaresco...another charming wine bar to check out
Tucked away behind Karadordev Park is this lovely wine bar called
Barbaresco. This is actually in my neighborhood and I've been there a
couple of times, but have never told you about it. It's not new by any
means, so maybe you've already been there. But if not, I highly
recommend checking it out soon, while the weather is still nice enough to
sit outside and delight in your wine under the beautiful trees. It's a
very small place with wine barrels that serve as tabletops and a
fantastic selection of wines that you might not find elsewhere.
Bonus: Cafe Amici is right next door so you can actually order one of
their yummy pizzas and they'll bring it right to your table.

3. I think Serbs are clueless as to what Yoga really is
Ever since I moved here, I noticed that most Serbs associate yoga with
just stretching. And although it is good for improving flexibility, yoga
is SO MUCH MORE than that. There are so many different styles of yoga and
some do focus more on flexibility, some more on breathing, but the
majority of the yoga classes that I've taken, have been extremely
challenging and amazing for the body.
The other day, my friend asked me to check out a yoga class at this one
gym in New Belgrade. That was the furthest thing from yoga I had ever
seen. I wanted to leave halfway through. I think in the entire one-hour
class we only did about 4 exercises that even slightly resembled yoga
poses. Everything else was just this particular teacher's version of
stretching. It was pathetic. I kind of felt bad for the students in the
class who are being led astray. I mean, clearly it suits them, otherwise
they wouldn't be there. But it's sad that people in this country are
being led to believe that that is yoga...ugh!!
4. Check out the video from last Saturday's Foam Fest

Thanks to its excellent service, charm and warmth, Tribeca can
legitimately be called one of the best of Belgrade's many exclusive
restaurants. The blend of the best of local and international
cuisine, the rich wine list and fine ambiance is sure to leave an
impression. First time visitors, easily won over by the aromas,
